About the Show:
In the 21st century, something tragic happened in a college dormitory. The school called it an unfortunate incident. The police called it aggravated assault. The media called it a hate crime, and the boys involved called it their defining moment. But thousands of years into the future, it’s just one more problem on the supernetwork. And for Mercedes - the galaxy’s most underpaid computer technician - sometimes just hitting “delete” is the best way to get off work on time.

The Lattice Crashes explores a number of timely contemporary issues: network technology, race, homophobia, the prison-industrial complex and class stratification.

Support for the development of the script for the Lattice Crashes has been provided through the Harlem Stage Fund for New Work, which has received support from the Jerome Foundation. Additional support is provided by the Harlem Arts Alliance, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the Puffin Foundation.
