Hello Chicago!

Hey, Hey, Hey Folks!

So it's been about two months since moved the home base to Chicago, and I'm getting into the swing of things.  Seen some cool shows at The Steppenwolf, the Goodman, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, and lots of less known spots.  I've got some day-job prospects coming together, and I've got some solid friendships and such to keep things social.

So I'm happy about all of that.  There's a lot going on outside the city too. I've had some recent momentum with managers and such back in L.A., and I'm in the thick of the hustle for Bring the Beat Back, my black gay sci-fi musical fantasia.  A workshop is coming together later this year in The Bronx, but nothing is firm yet, so we'll have to see.

This week has been all about writing programs and festival submissions.  From the Independent Filmmaker Project to the American Black Film Festival  and about a dozen writing programs in Theater and TV,  April has been exhausting and May has even more in store.

But these programs are a major way to put yourself out there as a writer, especially if you're not already famous or rich or whatever. So I'm GUNG HO!

And Exhausted. I need a drink!!
